Educational Planning:
- Conduct thorough educational records review and analysis, including outside testing
- Develop short-term and long-term goals unique to your child's education
- Consult on middle school and high school course selection
- Advise on school/extra curricular/family obligations and balance
- On request, observe your child in an academic setting
- On request, attend meetings with parents and school officials
Specialized Educational Needs:
IEPs and 504 Plans
- Consult on a wide array of specialized opportunities in schools, such as IEPs, and 504 plans
- Conduct thorough educational records review and analysis, including outside testing
- Provide expertise on the nuances of developing a 504 plan and an IEP -Individualized Education Plan
- Review plans developed by the school and provide feedback
- On request, attend eligibility and/or IEP meetings with parents and school officials
School Selection:
- Consult with families to determine best possible school placement (specialize in working with families in transition, due to divorce or a move)
- Analyze family structure and its impact on school selection
- Conduct thorough educational records review and analysis, including outside testing
- Review school options and explain benefits and drawbacks of each option
- Interview adults and children, if age appropriate, involved in school selection
Home/School Communication:
- Develop a communication strategy for home/school dialogue that reflects your family structure
- Advise on content, length and frequency of emails to school personnel
- Create a system to ensure timely delivery of homework, forms and other school communication
- Develop homework systems unique to your family's dynamic
- Advise on parent-teacher conferences; attend upon request

- Facilitate interactive workshop series, Making the Grade, which combines active parenting techniques with direct application to school success
- Structure opportunities for role-play and group work in addition to direct instruction
- Provide 1-1 consultations with workshop participants
